Welcome to the  12th International Conference on Systems Biology!

Dear Colleagues,

we would like to cordially invite you to the ICSB 2011 in Heidelberg/Mannheim. The ICSB is the major event for the world-wide systems biology community. The conference series launched in Tokyo in 2000 by the International Society for Systems Biology (ISSB) has attracted scientists from all over the world. ICSB informs about the most current topics and research results in systems biology and its neighboring disciplines. Furthermore, it has served as a crystallization point for scientific cross-talk and scientific exchange bringing together the forefront of interdisciplinary researchers to advance and further interconnect the systems biology community.

Key opinion leaders will present a broad range of hot topics in systems biology research. Of major interest will be the impact of mathematical modeling in health, plant, and environmental research as well as the integration of emerging technologies such as next-generation sequencing, synthetic biology, and proteomics.

The ICSB 2011 will take place on August 28 - September 1, 2011 at the Conference Center Rosengarten in Mannheim, a premium venue in close vicinity to Heidelberg and a short ride away from Frankfurt International Airport.

Accompanying workshops and tutorials before and after the conference will take place on the life science campus in Heidelberg. We are looking forward to welcome you in Heidelberg and Mannheim and will do our best to organize an interactive, pleasant, and fruitful meeting.
